Mt. Fuji The Fukagawa Porcelain Manufacturing Company made various designs using the Mt. Fuji as a motif since the Meiji era. This motif, that is unique as a symbol of true Japanese aesthetic spirit, was showcased to the world as an original and authentic Japanese design. This idea dazzled porcelain lovers all around Europe, as at that time tableware using a mountain motif, as a design was unheard of.
